There are no standards on photography basics. Photography experts and websites categorized Basics of Photography as per the experience and basic understandings. As it mentioned earlier, the subject is vast and requirement is differing person to person. We do agree most of the basic guidelines of photography. However, we feel that a few ideas have to add / remove or explain more. The article is focusing more on new people, who is new to photography. Also, it includes more ideas by considering people, who already engage in photography, and like to update more on Basics of Photography.

When I think photography basics from my experience, skills & knowledge, four topics were strongly interfered. They are Camera, Controls of Camera, Light and Composition. Camera
You should know your camera. Know about its pros & cons. All cameras are made to capture pictures. But, all cameras cannot capture all kind of picture. We have mostly have SLR, DSLR, prosumer and point & shot cameras. Each has ability & inability. Know your camera before take next step. You do not want to know all about camera’s technical stuff and how it is work. When you are able to produce good picture, then you can learn some technical areas of camera.Controls of Camera
We have driving license, which means we can drive particular vehicle(s). Indirectly, it means that we are more comfortable in more controls, which is necessary to drive. Fortunately, we do not have license to take pictures. Therefore, we take so many bad pictures. The fact is that most the camera users use auto mode or use less than a half of controls. Know your camera controls and control your camera, and do not let the camera control your picture!Light
Light is more important area in photography. You should know how to use and control light. The best way you use the light, you have more possibility to capture beautiful picture. Actually, camera captures lights and turns into picture. In photography, it called as exposure, which is rely on Photographic Triangle. They are Aperture, Shutter Speed and ISO. The best combination of Photographic Triangle can capture best picture.Composition
Composition is a photography term, which artistic part of photography. It is about how to frame all wanted subjects in camera or how do you arrange subjects through camera or viewfinder. All subjects should frame through viewfinder, and then you are about to click. Also, it is not just see subject through viewfinder and click, but it is about systematically or artistically arrange. The subject can be arranged in center, left or corner. But, it should attract the viewer. Therefore, it requires artistic approach.Importance: When you are more comfortable and strong in basics of any subject or field, remember you are on correct track, and you can master it.
